Who we are. The Kaalganj Files sells fictional collectible detective case files. Contact:
support@kaalganjfiles.in. This policy is written for Indian law, including the Digital Personal
Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

What we collect and why.
– Order data (name, address, phone, email, items, payment method): to fulfil your order,
provide dispatch/delivery updates, GST invoicing, and warranty/replacement service. Legal
basis: performance of contract.
– Payments: processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card/UPI credentials.
– Shipping: your name, address and phone are shared with Shiprocket and its courier partners
solely to deliver your order.
– Clearance list (waitlist): email (and WhatsApp number only with its own separate consent),
stored after double opt-in, used solely for drop dates and file reopenings. One-tap
unsubscribe in every message. Unconfirmed requests are deleted after 14 days.
– Checkout progress: if you begin checkout and enter your email/phone, we hold them briefly
to help you recover an interrupted order (disclosed at the checkout). Deleted within 90 days
if no order follows.
– Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel): load ONLY if you choose “Allow
analytics” in the cookie notice. Used to count visits and measure advertising. Declining
changes nothing about how the shop works.
– Impression register: your impression number is recorded against your order permanently —
it is the product’s provenance record and powers Review Season notices.

What we never do. No selling of personal data. No pre-ticked consents. No marketing to
unconfirmed addresses. No fake urgency driven by your data.

Retention. Order and invoice records: as required by tax law (currently 8 years). Waitlist:
until you unsubscribe. Analytics: per Google/Meta retention settings under our accounts.

Your rights (DPDP). Access, correction, and erasure of your personal data (except records we
must keep by law); withdrawal of consent at any time. Write to support@kaalganjfiles.in —
grievances acknowledged within 72 hours, resolved within 30 days. If unsatisfied, you may
approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Children. The store and its content are intended for ages 16+.

Changes. We will post updates here with a new date; material changes to consent-based
processing will re-ask consent.
